Melanie Dyer

Mel graduated from NIDA in 2007 with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art – Production. Since then she has worked as a stage manager for some of Australia’s leading theatre companies including Belvoir, Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin, Bell Shakespeare, Chunky Move, DanceNorth and Sydney Festival. Mel has experience in a wide range of theatrical forms including drama, physical theatre, dance, devised work and has been privileged to work on a range of new Australian plays.

Her career highlights include Angels in America Parts 1 & 2 (Belvoir), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Sydney Theatre Company), Masquerade (Griffin), Keating! The Musical (Company B) and Ivanov (Belvoir), where she also acted in the production. Mel has toured internationally to Austria, Canada and New York as well as touring both regionally and nationally.

Mel is a winner of a minor 2017 Mike Walsh Fellowship, which she used to attend the Broadway Stage Management Symposium in 2018, connecting with stage managers all around the world.
