About Marilyn

Personal statement: Having spent most of my career supporting others realise their dreams and visions, as well making and providing for their opportunities, I find the need to focus that same attention and dedication to change, inclusion, betterment on my individual visions and dreams.

Being able to delve into existing models of Arts/ Cultural organisational structures is something that inspires me as well as exploring any possible symbiosis between Culture and institution. Having already studied d a business degree (UTS) I have a sound knowledge of organisational structures but am now interested in a purely cultural context. I was the sole Female co-founder of Australia’s first Indigenous Contemporary Dance Company, AIDT – the Company. We toured extensively internationally and nationally. I coordinated FRESH Dancers, an Indigenous Contemporary Dance group focusing on the corporate sector. I was also the Artistic Associate for the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF), programming the 3- day performance programme and introducing the Closing Ceremony (including the format).
