About Julie

Raised in regional Western Australia, Julie grew up horse riding, surf life-saving and running from one sports match to another. Julie began her passion for performing at a young age through singing and dancing for WA Performing Arts Eisteddfod and continued this passion into her studies at school.

Deciding to make the big leap to the city of Sydney Julie completed an Advanced Diploma in Acting at Sydney Theatre School. Through musical recitals, her cohort fundraised to take a show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017. Loving the weekly screen classes and rigorous physical training, Julie auditioned for NIDA. In the four months in-between, Julie squeezed in her first professional role in the sell-out show Trainspotting Live.

NIDA enabled Julie to strengthen her skills in musical theatre, while adding stage combat, parkour and fly training to her arsenal, as well as extensive professional quality screen time. With a keen interest in human psychology, Julie is excited to work and collaborate across multiple mediums to create visceral and diverse storytelling that will make a positive change.
