About Emily

Emily Philippou has been working in arts PR for a decade. Specialising in museums and galleries, she also has broad experience running creative media campaigns for exhibitions, archives, festivals, productions, prizes and infrastructure projects.

Currently media manager at MONA, the Museum of Old and New Art, Emily relocated to Tasmania from the UK in 2018. Prior to that she belonged to London’s Wellcome Collection, the National Science and Media Museum and a major funding body (and before that in pharmaceuticals—the less said about that, the better).

As a comms person, she is interested in the power of and the connections between storytelling, influence and advocacy, and, as a relative newcomer to Australia, she is interested in everything.
